Cape Breton Photo of the Week: Point MichaudPoint Michaud – A fine day for a hike to the point of Point Michaud. Starting at the parking lot at Point Michaud Beach, a 2Km walk on fine packed sand will take you to a rocky and boggy area then out to the rocky headland of the point. As you start around the point, the Basque Islands can be seen about 2Km offshore. For more detailed information on Point Michaud trail plus all other Cape Breton trails, Michael Haynes’ Hiking Trails of Cape Breton, 2nd Edition offers all you need before heading out to explore our island’s shores, woods and mountains.
