Photo of the Week: L’Ardoise – This week’s photo was taken at the shore on Chapel Cove Rd after Gonzalo moved through well to the south of Nova Scotia. The storm brought us high winds and some rain. With luck on my side, I was able to take the road that takes us to the shore without getting my feet soaked. Often after a storm, the brook that empties into the ocean gets blocked off by sand and seaweed, which causes the ponds to overfill and flood over the road that takes us to the shore. Next time I might just have to put on my rubber boots or take a different path to the shore.
