Photo of the Week: May 13, 2016 – Irish Cove

Cape Breton Living Photo of the Week: Irish Cove Irish Cove – For years I admired this spot as we drove by on the old Hwy 4 along the Bras d’Or Lake. Finally, the other day on the way back from Sydney we pulled over and got out of the car to take in the view from this double chair bench along the lake. We walked along the shore, on this side of the bench and on the other side of the bench, taking photos of the lovely Bras d’Or Lake and its shoreline. Glad to have done this, the only regret is that we didn’t actually sit on the chairs. Next time when the water and the sky is as bright blue as this day, we’ll pull over again and just sit there.

If you’d like to keep track of the weather conditions in L’Ardoise, located on the southeast shore, check out the Cape Breton Living webcams by clicking on this link: or simply clicking on the Cape Breton webcams link on the Menu Bar above.
