Hello, I am looking for any information on The Keeper of the Light, on Cape Auget Light from 1895 to 1898. It has been told to me by mom many years ago that her grandfather Noel DeCoste aka (Christopher Noel DeCoste), was the keeper until his death in August of 1898. I have a letter from the Superintendent of Lights allowing Mrs Christoper Noel for her and the children to remain in the house attached to the Light until spring of 1899 when the new Keeper would arrive. The document is very old so I’m not too sure if I should try to photo copy it. I was hoping that you might have that record in your files. and maybe you could send me a copy or anything that refers to my ggrandfather.
