Cape Breton Photo Memories: Dad’s Visit from Ottawa

L’Ardoise, Cape Breton Island – This photo was posted as “Photo of the Week” September 28, 2018.
The year 2008 is when I took this photo. My father came to visit from Ottawa, the trip he was finally able to make after many years of longing to come. Dad was 88 at the time and was overjoyed to be able to see where I settled (down), living here in Cape Breton.
